Natalie Coleman, CEO


Dr. Natalie Coleman is the Founder and CEO of After the Peanut. She was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois and is passionate about all things STEM! She has over 15 years of experience as an educator and is also a combat veteran having served as a Military Police Officer in the Illinois Army National Guard. She holds an Education Doctorate from the University of Illinois (May 2021). Some of her professional work includes providing trainings on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Cultural Competency, School Attendance and Next Generation Science Standards. She has been a National Geographic Educator of the Week, National Science Teacher Association Presenter,  TED Innovative Educator, SXSWedu Mentor and Panelist and is currently an Illinois Science Assessment Writer. Besides leading After the Peanut, Dr. Coleman is a Will County Board Member and Adjunct Chemistry Professor for the University of St. Francis.
