Urban Agriculture Program Designed to Sprout Interest in STEM

WILL COUNTY-This month, After the Peanut launched their urban gardening program at the Fairmont Community Center. The goal of this program is to teach students how to grow and take care of their own plants and flowers and introduce them to STEM careers centered around Urban Agriculture.

Through in-kind donations from Illinicare Health, they are able to make their work more impactful. During a time like this, little things go a long way and help continue the mission of After the Peanut to provide opportunities in STEM for K-12 students and educators. As CEO of After the Peanut, Natalie Coleman has an extensive background in curriculum writing and program development and values impactful partnerships, such as the one with Illinicare Health.
